Spejbl and Hurvínek
by Josef Skupa
Fantastic hand-made marionettes of the famous Czech characters Spejbl and Hurvinek.
Spejbl was first invented by Josef Skupa in 1920, a retrograde teacher, barely bearing pace with things around. He was followed by his son Hurvínek who was invented in 1926, a sometimes lazy, sometimes hyper-reactive child.
The duo still has their own theatre in Prague.
Hand-made from wood and plaster with detailed hand painted features.
Made in Czech Republic
